Help us with Funding: We are totally dependent on donations to keep open!

Volunteers have now been running the Broomhill Community Library since October 2014. Sheffield City Council does provide some support to keep the library open, but not everything that we need!

We need funds to maintain what we can currently offer ( we have extended the opening hours by 2 hours a week), and need to ensure that sufficient funds are raised through kind donations of our community members so that we can keep going.

If you hear of any organisations offering grants please drop us a line and we will be in touch.

Please be generous, every pound you can give will go towards our running costs.

Your library service is provided by volunteers.

We have an amazing group of local people who have signed up to give a bit of time each month.  We offer training, if needed, and the opportunity to help people to be part of the community and contribute to the library resource needs.

Our volunteers are essential to keep the library open - both in terms of staffing the library and providing the service and also in the background - on the Library Management Group, with children's activities, in fund-raising and with administration and the usual activities in running a modest charity.

Details of the jobs we would like done and our Application Form can be found here: Job Roles

Please email and we'll get in touch.

We'd love to hear from you if you're interested in joining our volunteers.
