You can join the library during the lockdown, by applying online here and then borrow from the e-library which has just had extra books purchased.

Sheffield Libraries are offering free home access to findmypast and the British Newspaper Archive for library members during the covid-19 closedown. To access this service, email archives@sheffield.gov.uk for log-in instructions.

If you fancy having a go at an online course, free courses on a wide range of topics are available at www.futurelearn.com - you can take courses for a couple of hours a week to much longer if you feel like it! Join in with learners from across the globe who are also experiencing lockdown.

Don't forget the children's Summer Reading Challenge which starts on Friday 5th June - different this year but still happening! It's fun books this year, to keep you smiling

Self guided walk - a chance to go along Taptonville Road, Hallam Gate Road and Tapton House Road and learn something about the people who lived there over 100 years ago. Leave the stroll for a couple of weeks and you will be able to see the children's art work in the windows of Broomhill Library. Click here for the booklet
