NHS Hearing-Aid Batteries

posted 1 Jan 2018, 07:52 by David Chinchen

Following meetings with staff at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital we are pleased to announce that the library will be able to issue batteries for NHS hearing-aids from Monday 8 January 2018. A single pack of batteries will be issued on presentation of your NHS Hearing Clinic card or older brown booklet. We have stocks of the two most commonly used battery types and will be able to acquire further types from the NHS if requested. We are unable to fit batteries or conduct repairs. Such assistance will continue to be provided at the walk-in clinics held at the Hallamshire. We hope this new service will save people a journey and reduce demands on the busy reception desk at the Hallamshire.
