Join our Book Club, where we do a bunch of activities from crafts to writing, all focused on our favourite books! Creative Writing Group

Calling all writers - (Poems, prose, short story, long novel, plays, flash or whatever your thing)
Join an informal, friendly creative writing group. We will write to themed prompts and share short pieces. No pressure to share, all welcome. For more information contact Ann on 07914407141
Enjoy a time of reading excerpts from great books, poems and magazine articles together over a cuppa. Ideal for those that want a daytime book group but need the pace to be a little gentler.
Crafternoons - Knitting group
First and third Mondays of the month from 14:00 - 15:30. Booking is not required.
Bi-monthly knitting group for any age. Drop in with your knitting – enjoy a chat and a cuppa with fellow knitters. Free activity and no need to book.
Crafternoons - Crochet Group

Monthly Crochet group for beginners and intermediates- learn basic stitches so that you can make simple things to take home or give to charity and meet new people while you're here! Suggested donation £3. Materials and refreshments provided.

We currently have five book groups which meet in the library monthly at 19:30 on the 1st and last Mondays; 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays; and 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Walking Friends
Meet new people, enjoy the benefits of walking outdoors. Everyone is welcome to take part in our informal walking group. Pre-booking is required.
Walking Friends is an informal way to enjoy the benefits of walking outside. Our walks are friendly, safe, and varied. We have a choice of walks ranging from flat and easy to longer and uneven. Everyone is welcome. Choose a walk best suited to your ability and, if necessary, seek medical advice before attending.

Our schedule varies depending on the number of people participating and their physical abilities. A typical month would have walks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the mornings.
Computing/IT help
When the library is open
Our volunteers are ready to help with any computing issues you may have in using the library computers. Just ask at the desk when you come in if you need help. Specialist help by appointment only.
