Joining the library
If you live or work in Sheffield, you can get a library card to access library services. It's free to join, and you'll be able to borrow books, use the eLibrary, attend events and access library information services. Information on how to join and download the Sheffield Libraries App is available on the Sheffield City Council website.
Reserving or renewing a book
You can use the online Sheffield Libraries Library Catalogue to find a book, see if it's available, place a reservation, or renew a loan. You will need your library card number and PIN to reserve a book.
If you don't have access to the online Library Catalogue, please call 0114 273 4276 during opening hours or email us - enquiries@broomhill-library.org.uk and we will look on the catalogue and reserve books for you.
Libby is a free app where you can borrow -books, digital audiobooks, magazines, and more from your local library. You can stream titles with Wi-Fi or mobile data, or download them for offline use and read anytime, anywhere. All you need to get started is your library card and PIN.

Home library services are available for Sheffield residents who are unable to get to their local library, have no-one to help them do so, or cannot carry books home.
