Library Services
Join the library
If you live or work in Sheffield, you can get a library card to access library services. It's free to join, and you'll be able to borrow books, use the eLibrary, attend events and access library information services. Information on how to join and download the Sheffield Libraries App is available on the Sheffield City Council website.
Reserve or renew a book
Use the online Library Catalogue to find a book, see it's available, place a reservation, or renew a loan. You will need your library card number and PIN to reserve a book.
If you don't have access to the online Library Catalogue, please call 0114 273 4276 during opening hours or email us - enquiries@broomhill-library.org.uk and we will look on the catalogue and reserve books for you.
Read with Libby
Borrow e-books, audiobooks, magazines, and more from your local library for free! Libby is the newer library reading app. To use Libby, you will need your library card number and PIN. Go to the Libby webpage for more information.
Home Library Services
Home library services are available for Sheffield residents who are unable to get to their local library, have no-one to help them do so, or cannot carry books home. Staff will deliver books, talking books, DVDs, and jigsaw puzzles directly to your home. Please visit the Home Library Services webpage for more information or call 0114 273 4276.
