Sheffield artist donates picture to local library

Isabel Blincow MBE, a renowned local artist and founder member of the Hallam Art Group, has donated an original painting of Wyming Brook to Broomhill Community Library to help raise money to support its work.
The library and gardens have been managed and operated by volunteers since 2014. Weekly activities for adults and children are offered to local people, such as 'stay and play' for pre-school children and social gardening for adults.
The original painting will be for sale as part of an art exhibition by Hallam Art Group from 13-25 April in the library with prints and cards of the original also for sale.
sabel says 'I have fond memories of family visits to the library over the years and I am delighted to donate this painting to help with fundraising'.
Judith Pitchforth, Chair of Trustees said 'the library relies on fundraising to improve the library facilities and to make sure we can continue to serve the people of Sheffield. We aim to offer activities at a low cost, making them accessible to all'
