We're proud to be a co-delivered, volunteer-run library working in partnership with Sheffield City Council. The council helps with the basics—like keeping the lights on and stocking our bookshelves—but everything else? That’s thanks to the amazing support of our community through donations and volunteers.
No gift is too small. Every donation makes a difference. Donate online below or stop by the library to make a donation in person. You can also make a bank transfer from your account. Please email treasurer@broomhill-library.org.uk for our bank details.
How your donations are used
From storytelling sessions and craft clubs to garden projects and tech help, your donations help bring our library to life. Every pound donated goes toward creating a welcoming space full of activities, events, and improvements that benefit everyone.
Small donations add up, and we've used them to purchase cartridges for library printers, to purchase a new and larger reception desk, to fund new library activities and services, and to upgrade our library computers.
Easyfundraising
Help support us by creating an account with Easyfundraising and use it when you shop online. Over 8,000 retailers, including Argos, eBay, and John Lewis will donate to Broomhill Community Trust when you use Easyfundraising to shop with them. Signing up is easy and free! These donations really mount up over time
Boost our Co-op Community Fund Award.
In October 2024, Broomhill Community Trust received an award from the Co-op's Local Community Fund program. Our application for the award focused on our wish to help improve people's mental wellbeing by creating gardening opportunities in the Heritage Garden for the elderly, the young, people of all cultures, and people out of work or with health needs. Using your Co-op membership card, you can nominate Broomhill Community Trust (BCT) as a cause you want to vote for. Every time you buy over £5 of Co-op branded goods, you can nominate BCT, which will enter us into a £5k draw.
If you're not already a Co-op member, follow the link below to join. It's easy and costs just £1 and you'll have access to other member benefits. Once a member, just open the App and select Broomhill Community Trust as the charity you want to support.
Donate your gently used books to the bookstore

Drop off your used toner cartridges
Keep your used printer and toner cartridges out of the landfills! We'll ship them off for recycling and receive a donation in return.
