The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge theme is Read to the Beat. The theme inspires children to explore the connection between stories and songs, discovering how reading and music both ignite imagination and creativity.
Keep your child’s reading adventures alive this summer with the Summer Reading Challenge at Broomhill Community Library. Children set their own reading goals and earn exciting rewards for reading anything they enjoy!
It's free to take part and every child who completes the challenge will receive a medal and a certificate to celebrate their reading achievements when the new school term begins.
